OREANDA-NEWS. S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'A+' long-term rating and underlying rating to Junction Elementary School District, Calif.'s election of 2016 series A general obligation (GO) bonds. The outlook is stable.

"The GO ratings reflect our view of the district's access to employment throughout the Redding metropolitan statistical area, coupled with strong income indicators and extremely strong wealth indicators; very strong available fund balances; and low overall net debt burden," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Kaila Spalinger.

Bond proceeds will be used to finance approved school facilities projects.
