OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2016. Presidents f El Salvador, Jimmy Morales of Guatemala and Juan Orlando will meet with Vice President of the United States Joe Biden, and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) President Luis Alberto Moreno on Friday, September 23, 2016, at the IDB. The meeting will also be attended by the foreign ministers of Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

During their meetings, the leaders will review progress made to date under the Northern Triangle governments’ Plan of the Alliance for Prosperity and the U.S. Strategy for Engagement in Central America; discuss infrastructure, migration, prosperity, energy and other challenges and opportunities in the region; and identify steps to deepen cooperation. The IDB will also be hosting a meeting with private sector representatives regarding their vital role in moving the region forward.
