OREANDA-NEWS. 52% of Russians make transfers through the Fast Payment System regularly, 45% have never used it, follows from a survey by the IDF Eurasia fintech group conducted for Gazeta.Ru.

The survey involved 2,500 respondents aged 18 to 60 throughout Russia.

As the reason why they do not use the SBP, the Russians indicated the inability to connect auto payment, pay for public services and transfer money to any organizations and companies (28%). The absence of the transfer function from credit cards was noted by 27% of respondents. Another 24% indicated the impossibility of transactions through ATMs, terminals or bank branches. 11% had difficulties with connection settings, another 13% consider the SBP to be insecure.

The FPS was launched by the Central Bank and the National Payment Card System (NSPK) on January 28, 2019.

The Central Bank Gazeta.Ru reported that during the existence of the service in the SBP, 836 million transfers were made for a total amount of more than 5 trillion rubles. The number of users of the system exceeded 40 million people. In 2021, the number and volume of transactions increased by more than six times, and the number of clients by three times.
