OREANDA-NEWS. Employees from three BNY Mellon offices across Ireland have helped raise in excess of €20,000 for two local Wexford charities.

The Hope Cancer Support Centre in Enniscorthy and the Wexford Hospice Homecare Service are both set to benefit from the money which was raised through a combination of 660 volunteering hours, including cake sales and an office raffle, as well as participation by employees in the recent Hope & Dream road race where people could run 10 kilometers or 10 miles.

As part of its wider corporate social responsibility program, BNY Mellon matched 50% of all the donations made by employees.

The Hope Centre provides emotional support to people affected by cancer including those who care for them, from the time of diagnosis, through treatment and afterwards, ensuring a confidential, professional and caring service in a peaceful environment.

The aim of the Wexford Hospice homecare service is to enhance the palliative care of patients in the home and the community, and to support and assist their families and professional caregivers.
