OREANDA-NEWS. Dmitry Polyukhov has been appointed as Director of Directorate for Working with Problem Assets – a new Vnesheconombank’s subdivision. In this position he will be responsible for a whole range of issues related to settling problem debts, upgrading approaches to managing problem assets, boosting efficiency of monitoring and exercising control over potentially problem credits.

Work with problem assets is becoming a key task for VEB. Commenting on Dmitry Polyukhov’s appointment Vnesheconombank Chairman Sergei Gorkov expressed confidence that with his appointment the whole system of managing problem debts would change and that new instruments and new methods would appear to effectively work with “difficult” assets in order to substantially reduce their proportion in the Bank’s loan portfolio.

Dmitry Polyukhov graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. He worked at Vnesheconombank from 2000 to 2001 and at Sberbank of Russia from 2001 to 2010, he held a number of senior positions in the corporate finances sector from 2010 to 2015. He was Vice President for working with problem assets at PJSC Promsvyazbank in 2015-2016.
