OREANDA-NEWS. BNY Mellon has appointed Vivek Kohli as emerging payment technology segment manager. As a member of the market segments product management team for BNY Mellon's Treasury Services business, Kohli will continue an initiative BNY Mellon undertook nearly two years ago to maintain a heightened awareness of emerging payment technologies and influence the direction of their development.

"From payment APIs and enhancements to NEXEN and our new global payments infrastructure to our participation in various fintech investigations, we're engaged in an unprecedented level of technological activity," said Tony Brady, managing director and global head of Business Strategy & Market Solutions for BNY Mellon's Treasury Services business. "Having on board an emerging technology market segment manager with Vivek's industry knowledge and experience will help ensure that our innovations in the payments space achieve their ultimate objective – providing better, more efficient service to our clients."

Kohli has held senior sales and product management positions with several global banks, most recently J.P. Morgan, where as executive director, global solution sales, he was responsible for developing cash management structure and strategic positioning with large corporate and financial clients. Earlier in his career he served in a variety of senior bank services client management, global corporate payment and multicurrency payment product management positions with Citi. A University of Notre Dame graduate with an MBA from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, Kohli will be based in Pittsburgh, and reports to Christopher Mager, managing director and head of market segments for BNY Mellon's Treasury Services business.
