OREANDA-NEWS. S&P Global Ratings raised its long-term rating to 'AA-' from 'A+' on Richland County, S. C.'s 2013A hospitality tax revenue refunding bonds. The outlook is stable.

"The rating action reflects improved maximum annual debt service coverage as a result of growing pledged hospitality tax receipts," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Randy Layman.

The stable outlook reflects our expectation that the bonds will maintain strong debt service coverage given level debt service and anticipated growth in pledged revenue.
