OREANDA-NEWS  According to the results of the first quarter of this year, the average check for a trip to a restaurant in Russia amounted to from 625 to 639 rubles, a sharp increase of 11 percent year-on-year. This is evidenced by the data "Contour.Market", referred to by RIA Novosti.

During the reporting period in Moscow, the indicator decreased by one percent, to 933 rubles in March from 940 rubles in January. In St. Petersburg, the average check also decreased — by three percent, to 946 rubles. At the same time, in the Sverdlovsk region, it increased by three percent, to 660 rubles.

The revenue of catering establishments showed positive dynamics in the first quarter, adding seven percent compared to the same period last year. In total, Russian restaurants earned 55.173 billion rubles in three months. The leaders in revenue were institutions in Moscow, Moscow and Sverdlovsk regions, as well as St. Petersburg and Krasnodar Krai. Restaurants in the capital, for example, received 13.075 billion rubles, which is almost three times more than other regions that got into the top 5.
