OREANDA-NEWS  A group of investors is ready to participate in the creation of a satellite city of Vladivostok in the format of a public-private partnership (PPP), involving investments in the amount of almost 1.4 trillion rubles, of which 1 trillion rubles should be private. This was announced by Nikolay Zapryagaev, CEO of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV).

"The largest banks are ready to participate in this project. And based on what a large-scale and significant project this is, we and the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation are ready to submit to the government a draft decision on concluding a concession agreement and a comprehensive plan for the implementation of the project until 2036," Zapryagaev is quoted in the transcript of the meeting between the head of the KRDV and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin (the document is posted on the website of the government of the Russian Federation).

The head of the KRDV clarified that the master planning of the territory has now been completed, engineering surveys and design of the first facilities have begun.

An area of 1.4 thousand hectares has been allocated for the placement of objects of the new city, a 30-minute drive from the center of Vladivostok. "We plan that 80 thousand people will live there and at least 2.5 million square meters will be built. m residential and commercial real estate," said Zapryagaev.

Earlier it was reported that the satellite city is included in the master plan for the development of the Vladivostok agglomeration. The first stage of investments will amount to about 30 billion rubles, these are investments in the supporting infrastructure.

A variant of the city concept, called Sputnik, was presented at the VII Eastern Economic Forum in September 2022 in Vladivostok. The creation of the Satellite will make it possible to combine the Vladivostok city District and the city of Artyom into one agglomeration with a population of more than 1 million people.
