OREANDA-NEWSThe world leader in e-commerce, the Chinese company Alibaba intends to invest about 200 billion yuan (about $ 28 billion) in the development of cloud services infrastructure in the next three years. This is stated in a statement released on Monday by its subsidiary Aliyun.

“We have confidence in the future, we are confident in the future of the digital economy”. Smart cloud services are one of Alibaba’s key strategies. We have invested over the past 11 years and we will not reduce investments due to the pandemic, on the contrary, we need to increase investments. Over the next three years, Aliyun will invest 200 billion yuan in new technologies and a new basic infrastructure", said Zhang Jianfeng, CEO of Aliyun, Asia's largest cloud computing platform Aliyun Jineng.

Investments will be made in expanding the network of servers and big data processing centers, which currently covers more than 20 countries and regions around the world, as well as developing its own technologies related to chips and artificial intelligence.
