OREANDA-NEWSThe Spanish authorities explained that they could not stop the collection of taxes in the country, since the state needs these revenues, despite the high-alert regime introduced to curb the spread of a new type of coronavirus. This was announced on Wednesday by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation Nadia Calvigno in an interview with the Spanish radio station.

The first case of coronavirus infection in Spain was recorded on January 31, the number of infected people began to increase sharply after the outbreak in Italy. In total, over 94 thousand patients were found in the kingdom, 8 189 people died. Thus, the number of cases in the kingdom exceeded the number of cases detected in China.

On March 14, the Council of Ministers approved the introduction of high alert due to the spread of coronavirus. This involves restricting the movement of residents throughout the country, except in cases of emergency.
