OREANDA-NEWS The minimum wage in Russia can be increased to 12 130 rubles from January 1, 2020 against the current 11 280 rubles. This follows from a document published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts. 

“Set the minimum wage from January 1, 2020 in the amount of 12 130 rubles per month,” the document says. Thus, the minimum wage is increased by 850 rubles. 

The fact that the Ministry of Labor is preparing a project to increase the minimum wage became known in July. The project will be stated to public discussion, after which it will be decided whether it will be signed or if improvements will be needed. 

At the same time, the cost of living in the first quarter of 2019 amounted to 10 753 rubles. According to the results of six months, it is expected to grow by another 4%.
