Companies from Russia will be able to invest in the field of electricity in Ethiopia

OREANDA-NEWS Russian companies can invest in the development of Ethiopia's electric power industry, Ethiopian Industry Minister Melyaku Alebel told RIA Novosti.
According to him, one of the priorities of the Ethiopian authorities is the development of the country's energy system. "To do this, we need additional capacity due to water, solar and wind energy. We invite Russian investors," he said on the sidelines of the Innoprom-2023 exhibition. The Minister added that along with the issue of electricity generation, the question of its optimal distribution arises.
"If there are companies with the right experience who want to do business with Ethiopia, then this area is also one of the investment opportunities," Alebel said.
