In Russia, the production of additional protection kits for BMP-3 has increased

OREANDA-NEWS The production of additional protection kits for BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles has increased 30 times compared to the volumes of 2022. This was reported in the press service of the High-Precision Complexes holding (part of the Rostec state Corporation), RIA Novosti reports.
The tracked BMP-3 is designed to transport personnel, as well as increase their security and firepower. The arsenal of the machine includes a gun-launcher 2A70 caliber 100 millimeters, which allows you to launch anti-tank missiles, an automatic gun 2A72 caliber 30 millimeters and machine guns.
Earlier in September, Roman Khromov, Deputy Executive Director for the state defense order of Kurganmashzavod, said that the output of the BMP-3 had tripled during the special military operation.
In May, it became known that Kurganmashzavod (part of the High-Precision Complexes) has developed kits of mounted dynamic protection for the BMP-3, which can be installed on machines in the field in the SVO zone.
