OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved Mikhail Mishustin's candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. This is stated in the message of the press service of the head of state, RIA Novosti reports.

"In accordance with paragraph "a" of Article 83 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, appoint Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin as Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation," the statement said. The decree of the President of the Russian Federation comes into force from the date of its signing.

Earlier it became known that the lower house of the Russian parliament approved Mikhail Mishustin as prime Minister of the country. 375 deputies voted for him, no one voted against him.

Before the approval procedure, Vladimir Putin met with Mikhail Mishustin, who thanked the official for his work and recalled the main goals of the Cabinet of Ministers, to which the president attributed the implementation of national development goals in all areas.
