OREANDA-NEWS. The Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province and the N. V. Rudnitsky Federal Agrarian Research Center of the Northeast jointly organized a Chinese-Russian videoconference on agricultural development and food products from winter rye, which should become an integral part of a healthy diet of the population of the two countries.

The current conference is important for Jilin Province in terms of implementing the consensus of the heads of state of China and Russia on strengthening cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovations and further developing practical cooperation in agricultural business between the two countries.

At the meeting, experts from the two countries reached a consensus on conducting further scientific research in the field of winter rye, cooperation and exchange of technologies for the production and processing of this crop, as well as strengthening cooperation between China and Russia in the field of production, education and research.

Focusing on the development of digitalization and intellectualization of agriculture, as well as precision farming and food security, Jilin Province has created dialogue platforms for connecting the resources of scientific and technological innovations between research institutes of China and the Russian Academy of Sciences, and also promoted the implementation of projects such as the construction of the Sino-Russian laboratory of International agricultural cooperation.
