OREANDA-NEWS. 1Spatial plc, the Global Spatial Software and Solutions Company which manages the world's largest spatial data, announces that at the Esri User Conference in San Diego, USA, 1Integrate for ArcGIS was made available for Collector for ArcGIS global users in the field.

Designed to overcome the necessity of office-based updating and to extend the capability of the Esri ArcGIS platform into the field, the Collector for ArcGIS allows workers to use a range of mobile devices to collect and update information - disconnected or connected.

[Collector for ArcGIS] is intended to be used for a multiple of field mapping tasks including utility, land, transport and asset management, as field workers seek to utilise the benefits of data capture through mobile in the field allowing for real-time update and efficiency improvements. Field workers engaged on large scale asset management projects such as rail infrastructure, construction and work requiring complex changing datasets will be the key users of this new enhanced mobility functionality.

1Integrate for Collector provides more efficient and cost effective data validation in real time. This therefore allows businesses to make decisions based on higher quality datasets. It also performs rules-based data re-engineering tasks, such as cleaning data, transforming data or creating new data from existing data assets.

Chris Tagg, Global Head of Innovation at 1Spatial plc said:

"We are delighted to have extended our offerings with Esri to its Collector functionality. 1Spatial technology can be used to solve data problems, wherever they occur. Making 1Integrate for ArcGIS available on Collector for ArcGIS allows mobile users the capability to improve and validate data in the field. It delivers mobile workers the information on which to make timely and informed decisions, and ensure the accuracy of the data collected".
