Gazprom Neft has entered into a cooperation agreement with the DeGolyer and MacNaughton corporation, signed at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Pursuant to this agreement both companies will undertake joint prospecting operations at the Priobskoye field, one of Gazprom Neft’s most significant upstream assets, and will analyse the field’s development parameters against current international experience. Under the agreement the parties plan to develop enhanced recovery methodology for fields with complex geological structures

For the past 20 years DeGolyer and MacNaughton has been responsible for auditing reserves at Gazprom Neft fields in accordance with international standards.

Gazprom Neft First Deputy CEO Vadim Yakovlev commented: “Over its many years of working on the joint auditing of Gazprom Neft reserves, DeGolyer and MacNaughton has accumulated unique experience in studying the oil and gas fields of Western Siberia. Combining this with the strengths of our own specialists, we will be able to undertake additional investigations into the potential of the Priobskoye field, to the highest possible standard.”
