OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2016. Kaiser Permanente members can earn a free gym membership through the Kaiser Permanente Fit Rewards program. The program creates a financial incentive for members to thrive throughout the year and meet their health and fitness goals, and is available in Hawaii only through Kaiser Permanente.

Starting Jan. 1, 2017, members can join or renew their gym membership by paying up to a \\$200 annual program fee at any participating Active&Fit® gym*. If they hit the gym at least 45 days for 30 minutes a session by Dec. 31, 2017, they will get up to \\$200 back as a reward for making good health a priority.

“Our new Fit Rewards program gives our members an added incentive to be active and healthy,” said Mary Ann Barnes, RN, president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals Hawaii Region. “Many companies are going through health plan open enrollment right now, so their employees can choose Kaiser Permanente and get this first-of-its-kind opportunity.”

The new rewards program is an expansion of the popular Active&Fit® program, which Kaiser Permanente offers through American Specialty Health Fitness, Inc. Similarly, the Silver&Fit program for Kaiser Permanente Medicare members allows kupuna to receive a gym membership at no cost as a standard Medicare health plan benefit.

Most Kaiser Permanente Hawaii members, except Medicare and Medicaid/QUEST Integration, are eligible to participate in the Fit Rewards program. For more information, go to kp.org/fitrewards.
