St. Petersburg plant Toyota for the eight months of 2017 produced 44,493 cars, which is more than twice as high as a year ago. 21,476 Toyota Camry business sedans and 23,017 RAV4 crossovers came off the assembly line during the reporting period, informed the Toyota Motor Press Service.

At the same time, the export of Toyota cars of Russian production to the markets of Kazakhstan and Belarus for the eight months of this year exceeded the result for the whole 2016, it was 3,876 units. As it was noted, a significant increase in exports is due to both the launch of Toyota RAV4 in August 2016 at the plant in St. Petersburg, and the growing demand for Toyota Camry in the markets of Belarus and Kazakhstan. So, for the Kazakhstan market at the Toyota plant and in St. Petersburg from January to August, 3,533 cars were produced, including 2,555 Toyota Camry and 978 Toyota RAV4. For Belarus, the company produced 343 cars, including 127 Toyota Camry and 216 Toyota RAV4.
