OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2016.  Today, the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced its decision to relocate the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte, North Carolina to a new location that will ensure all of the current and former players, league, team officials, business partners and fans feel welcome. We are in support of this decision, as discrimination of any kind has no place within democracy.

Individuals in every community should feel safe and be treated both with respect and dignity. It is heartening to know the NBA shares these principles and is willing to stand up as a leading and respected organization to protect the rights of all.

Diversity and inclusion have been a critical part of our DNA for more than 70 years, and we know that the NBA’s decision is based on the same belief.
