OREANDA-NEWS The Russian plant showed the layout and interior of the planned construction of a domestic high-speed train, it follows from the materials available to RIA Novosti.

This is the Ural Locomotives plant controlled by the Sinara Group in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region. Sinara itself has previously said that it is considering Moscow to host the production of such trains.

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the Sverdlovsk Region on Thursday, where he will visit, among other things, the Ural Locomotives plant.

The stand presented at the factory says that the high-speed train has eight carriages and four classes.

The head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov previously said that the Russian trains being developed for high-speed railways (HSR) will reach speeds of up to 400 kilometers per hour. It will consist of eight carriages, have four classes of service and a bistro car with a bar. The assembly of the first sample is scheduled to begin in 2026. The train should be ready in 2027, and in 2028 it is planned to receive a certificate of conformity.

High-speed is considered a specialized electrified double-track railway line for the operation of trains with speeds from 200 to 400 kilometers per hour. There are no such roads in Russia now. The HSR between Moscow and St. Petersburg should become a pilot project, but in general, the creation of a network of such roads in the country is being discussed. Special trains will also be required for them. They will be built in Russia.

Belozerov said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the launch of the planned Moscow-St. Petersburg HSR is expected before 2030.
