Kuwait's crude output rebounds as strike continues

OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2016. Kuwait's crude output is to rebound to as high as 2mn b/d potentially as soon as the end of today, as state-owned KPC continues to implement its emergency plan to address an ongoing sector-wide labour strike.

KPC said it has restored production at a 70,000 b/d gathering centre in north Kuwait.

Crude production tumbled to 1.1mn b/d yesterday, the first day of industrial action in the oil and gas sector. Kuwait produced 2.75mn b/d in March, according to Argus estimates, although KPC says it produced 3.05mn b/d that month.
