Wells Fargo Securities, the capital markets and investment banking business of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), today announced that Vipul Jain has joined the Research and Economics department as managing director and head of Residential Mortgage Research. Based out of offices in New York and Charlotte, NC, Jain will lead the Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) research team in developing strategy, publishing research and generating investment ideas for institutional investors. Jain reports to Marielle Jan de Beur, head of Structured Products Research for Wells Fargo Securities.

Jain joined Wells Fargo Securities from Morgan Stanley, where he was head of Agency RMBS Research.   His previous sell-side research experience includes coverage of Agency and Non-Agency RMBS at both Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.  In 2015, Jain was ranked #2 in Prepayments and #3 in Agency MBS Strategy in Institutional Investor’s Fixed Income All America Research Survey. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering/Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University.
