OREANDA-NEWS. Carrefour Spain launches the second edition of its  Innovation Awards , which starts with the beginning of the popular vote.

Carrefour Spain expects a record participation, exceeding the 50,000 voters taking part last year. These Awards, which are the only ones sponsored by a distribution company in Spain, recognise efforts in research and development, and for this edition they are being consolidated as a benchmark for innovation in the sector.

Carrefour Spain has released a leaflet showing which products are eligible for the award, so that consumers can choose the most innovative launches of 2016.  All customers and employees can visit www.premiosalainnovacion.es and vote for the most original launches of the year.

33 finalists for 15 top awards
The Carrefour Spain awards recognize products that include innovative elements in areas such as formulation or packaging and which improve customer experience.  In all, 15 prizes will be awarded: 12 winners will be chosen from 33 finalists in the foregoing categories, and the remaining 3 for products chosen by customers as the most innovative for holders of over-65 cards, large families or young people under 30.

Popular vote and gala final on June 22
The finalist products chosen by consumers will be voted on by an external jury and certified by a notary at the end of May. The jury will consist of major personalities from the sectors of research, business, academia and culture.

Carrefour Spain will host the awards ceremony on 22 June at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid. Last year’s event was attended by more than 300 executives and entrepreneurs from the leading retail brands in Spain.
