OREANDA-NEWS. Ford Germany sales continue to grow. Last month the company registered 22,976 cars, 5.6 per cent (1,221 units) more than in April last year.

Ford commercial vehicle sales also had a strong month, outpacing the overall industry.  Overall, Ford sold 3,481 commerical vehicles, an improvement of 11.4 per cent. Overall the German CV industry was up by 8.1 per cent.

Ford’s car market share in April was 7.3 per cent, with its CV share climbing to 11.3 per cent.

The Mustang remains the most popular sports car among private customers, while the Kuga leads the SUV segment in Germany. Among other model successes, the EcoSport sales are up 148.3 per cent, the B-MAX by 25.9 per cent and the C-MAX by 8.3 per cent.

Since the start of the year, Ford car volumes are up 9.6 per cent and CV sales have grown by 19.5 per cent compared with the first four months of last year.
