Power Machines Held Scientific Symposium "Energy of Thought"
OREANDA-NEWS. On June 15, 2016, within the frames of Laureate week of the International power industry award Global Energy, Power Machines held a scientific and practical symposium "Energy of Thought". The event partner became Committee on Science and Higher Education of Saint Petersburg Government.
The 2012 Global Energy Award winner, Chairman of the Global Energy Award International Committee, 2007 Nobel Prize winner, Rodney John Allam (Great Britain); the 2016 Global Energy Award winner, research advisor at the Institute of Catalysis named after G.К. Boreskov under the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Valentin Parmon; President of Global Energy Non-profit Partnership Igor Lobovsky made representations at the meeting with the representatives of the design-and-engineering services of the power plant engineering company.
– I am more than pleased to note that this is the second meeting of specialists of our company with prestigious scientists, international award winners – mentioned Roman Philippov, General Director of Power Machines during his welcome speech. – I want to thank, first of all, Igor Lobovsky, President of Global Energy Non-profit Partnership and Committee on Science and Higher Education of Saint Petersburg Government for its arrangement. Hope sincerely that such meetings will become a good tradition.
Energy of Youth round table was organized in the second practical part of the symposium where the winners of the similarly-named contest and young specialists of Power Machines engineering technical services took part.
