OREANDA-NEWS. The solemn meeting and the gala concert were traditionally held in the Palace of Culture “Dauria”. The art studios of the Palace of Culture gave to the residents of Krasnokamensk a beautiful show prepared specially for the ceremony. In each performance the artists celebrated miners. Beautiful costumes, sound and color effects, decorations, dance performances and songs created a really festive atmosphere.

The General Director of the Uranium Holding ARMZ Vladimir Verkhovtsev forwarded to the residents of the Krasnokamensk the welcome speech of the General Director of Rosatom State Corporation Sergey Kirienko: “This year your professional holiday is marked with the important event not only for Krasnokamensk, but for the whole Trans-Baikal Territory. By Regulation of the Government of the Russian Federation, Krasnokamensk was announced the territory of priority social and economic development. This event is of critical importance for further development of the city and territory”.

Vladimir Verkhovtsev congratulated all employees of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works on the Miner’s Day, with special words of thanks to veterans of the enterprise, whose dedicated labor built the combine, increased its strength and fame. He also mentioned the current generation of workers. Then the General Director of Uranium Holding ARMZ gave the deserved awards: badge of honor “Merit for Nuclear Power Industry” of 2nd degree – to the Director of Dust and Ventilation Service of Underground Uranium Mine No.1 Alfat Abdurasulov and to operator of electric locomotive in mine No. 1 Gennadiy Kirillov, badge of honor “Merit for Nuclear Power Industry” of 3rd degree – to miner in breaking face of mine No. 8 Anvar Karimov, Electric Gas Welder of Sinking Department Dmitry Kuzmin, Fitter of Production Support Department Yuriy Sviridov, Dose Monitoring Technician of Radiation Safety Laboratory Irina Starodubtseva.

On the Miner’s Day the lapel badge “For Contribution to Nuclear Power Industry Development” was given to the member of the Federation Council Stepan Zhiryakov. In his speech the senator cordially thanked Krasnokamensk miners for their good faith labor and loyalty to their company, wished more achievements and wellbeing to veterans and multi-thousand staff of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works and all residents of Krasnokamensk.

The ceremony of awarding the best employees of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works who achieved extraordinary production success was picked up by the Deputy General Director of Uranium Holding ARMZ on special projects, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works, Vladimir Vysotskiy. In his congratulatory speech he noted that in 2016 due to work of the entire team of the Union there was an objective chance to achieve breakeven level, to considerably reduce COGS. Vladimir Vysotskiy gave recognition letters to Alexander Brylev (Production Support Department), Vladimir Polischuk (Logistic Support and Supply Department), Vladimir Drozdov (Mine No.1), Alexander Pavlov (Sinking Department) and Sergey Popov (Directorate of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works).

Guests of the uranium capital congratulated the residents of the miners’ city: Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of Trans-Baikal Territory Dmitry Kochergin, Acting Minister of Natural Resources and Industrial Policy of Trans-Baikal Territory Oleg Polyakov, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Trans-Baikal Territory. Congratulations were addressed to heroes of the occasion by the Head of the city Yuriy Didenko, Chairman of the Urban Settlement Nikolay Nekrasov. In honour of the Miner’s Day they gave Certificates of Merit and valuable gifts to merited employees of the Union.

The culminating point of the solemn part of the assembly was presentation of the badge “Miner’s Honour” as the highest estimation of the valorous miner’s labor by the General Director of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works Sergey Shurygin. The full cavaliers of this honorable badge were: Boris Prosekin, Deputy General Director, Chief Engineer of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works; Sergey Fursov, Chargeman of Underground Uranium Mine No. 1; Sergey Vasilievich Sedykh, Timberer of Underground Mine No. 8. The badge “Miner’s Honour” of 2nd degree was awarded to Vladimir Efimenko, Mine No. 8 Overseer, 3rd degree - Leonid Lugovskoy, Leader of OVGSO Department.

The second day of Miner’s Day celebration in Krasnokamensk started with traditional march of labor teams of PJSC PIMCU, organizations and enterprises of the city. According to preliminary calculations, more than four and a half thousand citizens marched the main avenue of Krasnokamensk.

The parade was inspected by the General Director of Uranium Holding ARMZ Vladimir Verkhovtsev, the member of the Federal Council of Russia Stepan Zhiryakov, the General Director of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works Sergey Shurygin, management of the city and the district.

The column of full cavaliers of the “Miner’s Honour” badge opened the festive march. Being supported by welcome applause of the citizens, the elite of mining industry, the labor glory of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works carried the symbol of labor achievements and merits of the uranium capital of Russia - the Red Banner of the Union - along the main avenue of the city.

Prominent miners were followed by the creative team of the Palace of Culture “Dauria”, then the graduates of the military and patriotic club “Zarnitsa”. All teams creatively approached decoration of their columns. The team of the Mine No. 8 celebrated their professional holiday with fireworks, and the miners of the Mine No. 1 presented the mining equipment to the citizens - self-propelled rig and load-haul-dumper. Scientists from the Central Scientific and Research Lab demonstrated unusual chemical processes to the citizens of Krasnokamensk. Hundreds of balloons soared in the sky, and congratulations were heard from loudspeakers on the main holiday of the city. Another feature of this festive march was unprecedented participation by children’s groups. Practically every department was marching accompanied by graduates of affiliated educational institutions, and this part of the scenario was the main feature of the parade.

Upon the end of the labor teams’ march, the large-scale creative marathon started on the parapet of the Palace of Culture “Dauria”, and the best employees of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works were awarded.

Being supported by burst of applause, best representatives of mining professions were climbing the parapet. The first to accept recognition were the winners of the competition “Best Young Worker in Profession”. The General Director of Uranium Holding ARMZ Vladimir Verkhovtsev, General Director of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works Sergey Shurygin and Chairman of Trade Union Petr Gnatyuk awarded them with medals, diplomas of I, II, III degree and money prizes. Highly qualified electric gas welders, turners, chemical analysis laboratory aides, excavator operators, fitters, repair fitters, electric fitters, mining workers of breaking face, timberers and tunnellers, total 43 young employees of Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Works had their minute of glory at that moment. The Miner’s Day in Krasnokamensk ended with fireworks.
