OREANDA-NEWS. The Bogorodskoye Reception Hall hosted the 6th meeting of the International Supervisory Board of the Energy Delta Institute.

The participants reviewed EDI’s operating results between 2005 and 2006, underscoring that 90 employees of Gazprom had been attending workshops at EDI from January 2005 to October 2006. The workshops were dedicated to the Latest Technological Developments in the UGS Field, Gas Dispatching, Strategic Use of IT in the Gas Industry.

The workshops were highly appreciated by the students. Before year-end Gazprom’s top managers and employees will have the opportunity to attend the workshops on the following subjects: Increasing the Lifespan of Large Gas Fields, Pipeline Integrity Management.

The meeting also addressed EDI’s projected apprenticeship programs and activity for 2007 as well as new forms of cooperation in experience sharing among Gazprom and Gasunie’s specialists.

In 2001 Gazprom and Gasunie took up the initiative of implementing a joint project aimed at sharing knowledge and work experience in the energy sector. The project progressed under the Gas University working title. Later on, the Groningen University joined the project and together with Gasunie set up the Energy Delta Institute.
