OREANDA-NEWS. Venezuela recommended on Monday to call an emergency meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to put an end to “causing concern” reduction of oil prices.

Reuter informed, Minister of Power of the country Rafael Ramirez said on Monday that the oil prices have decreased "too strongly" and Venezuela together with several other members of the cartel recommends calling an emergency meeting.

At the same time, Minister of Petroleum Industry of Nigeria Edmund Daukoru said that he does not know about any meeting before a scheduled meeting on March 15.
