OREANDA-NEWS. Non-profit Partnership of Guarantee Suppliers and Energy Retail Companies (NP GP and ERCs) have elected its Supervisory Board which has sixteen members.

The Supervisory Board includes four Government representatives, as well as representatives of independent electricity providers and energy retail companies of RAO "UES of Russia".

Deputy Head of Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Anatoly Golomolzin was elected Chairman of the Partnership's Management Board and Mikhail Andronov, Director General of OOO "Rusenergosbyt", was elected Deputy Chairman.

Among the Partnership founders were RAO "UES of Russia", its energy retail subsidiaries. Over 50 retail companies, including 37 energy retail companies of RAO "UES of Russia", have confirmed their intention to joint the Partnership. The Partnership expects to decide on the admission of new members at one of the forthcoming meetings of RAO UES Board.

The Partnership's key role is to represent and protect the interests of the retail electricity market participants, including independent retailers. Its objectives are to facilitate the creation of an efficient competitive retail market for electricity, prepare proposals for draft legal acts regulating energy retail activities on the electricity markets, and increase the efficiency and reliability of electricity supply to customers.
