OREANDA-NEWS. On March 18, 2007 Consolidating its strong position in the world TV industry, global and regional digital leader LG Electronics (LGE) has introduced yet another world's first - the slimmest Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) television, reported the press-centre of  LGE. Driven by the company's continuous emphasis on design and technology, LGE's new innovation is expected to further increase its dominance in the Middle East and Africa television market.  The stylish CRT TV bears a close resemblance to an LCD TV, and LGE is confident that the new TV will appeal to budget-oriented customers who wish to experience exceptional audio-visual quality at a lower cost.

Mr. Kevin Cha the General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch, said: "The CRT forms an important backbone of our sales in the region. LG Electronics has been a pioneer in home entertainment technology since its inception and continues to provide its customers with the best quality, variety and price options. The CRT TV market remains strong with a dedicated consumer audience." The new CRT TV (model name: FU1R), in both its 29 and 21-inch sizes, is good news for consumers who consider three major factors before purchasing a new TV: picture quality, luxurious exclusively black color, design and more particularly price. Around 75% cheaper than a LCD TV, the Ultra Slim CRT TV is definitely a bargain to our budget-minded customers. When it comes to design, the front highlights a slim image with simple and straight lines. The back is curved with a stylish wave-line image that fits in any household. The frame is solid with a high glossy black color.

The product's technical specifications add to its appeal. The LGE Ultra Slim TV has a deflection angle of 120 degrees to make it the slimmest CRT TV ever!  LGE's Anti-Doming Mask and Glass Design technology eliminate distortion at the edge of the screen. Its 'Nano-Fluorescent Substance' technology enables the TV to realize higher contrast ratios and display an excellent image quality with vivid and rich colors. "This Ultra Slim TV is highly price-competitive with great product quality in the TV market. Now, customers in the Middle East have a wide array of choices. As for Jordan in particular, we will be launching the Ultra Slim TV in the local market at all of Darwish Al Khalili showrooms during the beginning of the second quarter of this year." Mr. Cha added. From his end, Mr. Ghazi Farouq the Assistant Managing Director for Marketing at the Middle East Complex, an agent for LGE products in Jordan said, "It is part of our ongoing strategy to introduce new and innovative products from LGE into the Jordanian market. Throughout the year, we strive to present all what is new to members of the Jordanian community, for LGE is a household name that adheres to all sectors of the community".
