OREANDA-NEWS. On March 28, 2007 the Supervising Board of OJSC URALSIB has appointed Andrei Donskikh as Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC BANK URALSIB. Previously this appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, reported the press-centre of  URALSIB BANK.


Nikolai Tsvetkov delegates all functions of the BANK's management to Andrei Donskikh, but will perform as the President of URALSIB Financial Corporation. The decision to separate the functions and to appoint a new Chairman of the Management Board has been based on the fact that the business of the Corporation is expanding and there is a strong necessity to meet the best international corporate governance standards.


Andrei Donskikh has been with URALSIB Financial Corporation since 2004. As its First vice-president he was head of retail banking as well as regional network management. Later on he developed within the Corporation the strategic business of the so-called Financial Supermarket targeted at retail clients. 


Andrei Donskikh actively participated in the consolidation of the five major banks when OJSC Uralo-Sibirsky Bank merged with OJSC AKB AVTOBANK-NIKOIL, OJSC AB IBG NIKoil, OJSC Briansky Narodny Bank and OJSC AKB Kuzbassugolbank. This project was unique in the Russian financial market, and was completed in October 2005.  Andrei Donskikh also supervised  the integration of Yugbank, the largest in the South of Russia, into URALSIS Financial Corporation.
Andrei Donskikh assumes both positions of Chairman of the BANK's Management Board and the CEO.


Born in 1967 in Moscow, prior to URALSIB Mr. Donskikh served in the Moscow Credit Bank in various positions for ten years, eight of which as Chairman and President. Mr. Donskikh has an economic and finance background and PhD in economics.
