OREANDA-NEWS. On April 06, 2007 a new department has been formed in the organizational structure of JSC “Power Machines” - Directorate of Automated Data Management Systems. Konstantin Yakovlev, previously employed by the Russian office of General Electric, appointed Director of the new department, reported the press-centre of  OJSC "Power Machines". Directorate of automated data management systems has been established with a view to develop the products and services in the sphere of industrial automation (automatic control systems (ACS) and technological process automated data management systems (TPADMS)) in particular those aimed at saving resources, improving the quality of products and safety of industrial processes and, as a result, to increase the range of services provided by the company.


The duties of the head of the Directorate include the establishment and development of the new department, determination of the key competences related to ACS and TPADMS as well as increasing the competitiveness of the Company products by using the advanced ACS and TPADMS, conducting technical monitoring and diagnostics. Konstantin Yakovlev was born in 1962 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MEI) (Electromechanical department) in 1985 and finished the postgraduate studies at the same institute in 1988. Konstantin Yakovlev started his professional career in 1988 as a senior researcher at the All-Russia Scientific Research Institute for Electromechanics (VNIIEM) where he worked on engineering and testing of electromechanical equipment. In 1994-2002 he worked as sales engineer at Bently Nevada Corporation (USA), in 2002 - 2005 he worked as regional sales manager for Russia and the CIS in the Russian division of General Electric and starting 2005 - as sales director for Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS of the Optimization and Control Systems Division of General Electric.
