OREANDA-NEWS. Following the results of work in the first quarter of 2007, basic production enterprises of Belon Group have exceeded the planned figures of coal extraction and processing, reported the press-centre of  Belon Group.

Belon Group has extracted 970,2 thousand tons of coal during the first three months which exceeds the target by 11,2 thousand tons, and the result of the same period last year, by 13,5% (or by 115,6 thousand tons).

In particular, 550.4 thousand tons of steam coal were extracted in Listvyazhnaya Mine instead of the planned 518 thousand tons. The extraction increase was reached owing to the Face № 1108 launched in January which is equipped with a highly productive face complex. The face is most powerful in the whole history of the enterprise by the coal in-place. In Face № 1108 an enterprise record of a day extraction was set in January: 10.7 thousand tons of coal. It is planned to increase production volume at the mine to reach 200-250 thousand tons per month and thus to extract 2,700 thousand tons of coal during the year. Launch of a coal loader at Listvyazhnaya Coal-Preparation Plant being under construction will facilitate the extraction growth and make it possible to set an efficient system of the coal transportation to the consumers.

In the first quarter 336.9 thousand tons of coal were extracted in Chertinskaya-Koksovaya Mine which exceeds the result of the same period of 2006 by 17%. The average month level of coal extraction reached exceeding 100 thousand tons will provide for fulfillment of the year target at the level of 1,300 thousand tons. For many years this level was unreachable for Chertinskaya-Koksovaya Mine with the production process seriously affected by mining and geological conditions. Integrated modernization of the enterprise and a number of measures taken for provision of production safety have made it possible to reach the annual volume of coal extraction in excess of 1 million tons. It is planned to extract about 4,7 million tons of coals at the Belon Group enterprises in total by the end of the year.

In the first quarter Belovskaya Central Coal-Preparation Plant has produced 863 thousand tons of finished goods outstripping the target of coal concentrate output by 11,2% with 14% increase from the same quarter a year ago. Run-of-mine coal processing volume has reached 1,179 thousand tons exceeding the planned level by 6,6%. The processing volume growth at Belovskaya Central Coal-Preparation Plant is connected with steady provision of raw materials for the enterprise. New directions for coking coals sales are being mastered by the enterprise alongside with the production volume increase, shipments are in progress under the contracts concluded with a number of leading metallurgical enterprises. It is planned to process 4,660 thousand tons of coking coals by the end of 2007, the concentrate output is to reach 3,309 thousand tons. Listvyazhnaya Coal-Preparation Plant to be launched at the end of the year will produce 700 to 900 thousand tons of power-producing concentrate.
