OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2007. During the visit to Khabarovsk Valeriy Okulov, General Director of JSC “Aeroflot”, met Viktor Ishayev, governor of Khabarovsk region, other authorities of the Far Eastern region, representatives of federal institutions and presented a business plan of the airline company “Dal’avia” restructuring. The project will be realized within the frameworks of a complex program of consolidation of airline companies of the Far Eastern region under the auspices of Aeroflot, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.
The first stage of the project of “Dal’avia” restructuring stipulates turnaround and implementation of measures for financial recovery including optimization of the route network, cost reduction, withdrawal of non-core assets. At the next stage a complex of stabilizing activities will be realized that stipulate achievement of stable production and financial figures, beginning of fleet renovation, preparation for regional hub establishment. The third stage stipulates realization of the hub concept as a constituent part of the project of a Far Eastern airline company establishment.
According to Valeriy Okulov the proposed plan of “Dal’avia” restructuring will allow in the medium term to ensure stable breakeven result and to improve social situation. “Realization of the project will allow getting a synergy effect at the expense of additional transfer passenger flows”, - said General Director of JSC “Aeroflot”.
With state support JSC “Aeroflot” is actively working over consolidation of airline enterprises of the Far Eastern region. In the nearest future other air carriers of the region are planned to be attracted to participate in this project. As a result of uniting experience and resources of JSC “Aeroflot” and potential of the consolidated enterprises there should appear a company that will not only be a serious player in the Russian and international market but will also actively participate in national policy in respect of air carriages due to its enter the “Aeroflot” group.
