OREANDA-NEWS. ANTONOV ASTC delegation started its work at International Air Show LAAD 2007, which was opened today, April 17, 2007, in Rio de Janeiro. Taking part in this biggest air show of Latin America, ANTONOV represents a number of its modern programs which may become the basis for strengthening the existent business contacts and establishing the new ones with the enterprises of the countries of the region.


Within the limits of LAAD 2007, ANTONOV ASTC demonstrates its possibilities and experience in designing transport airplanes, their special-purpose versions and passenger aircraft. It also does its best to strengthen cooperation with aviation industry of the countries of the region in the sphere of engineering and joint manufacturing of ANTONOV airplanes. The delegation of the enterprises headed by Vladimir Korol, Director General, conducts working meetings and negotiations with managers of the civil and military authorities of such countries as Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and others. The demand for transport aircraft of AN-70, AN-74 and AN-32 class as well as for the perspective transport airplane on the basis of AN-148 is being discussed. The other direction, sufficiently perspective on the market of regional transportations, is represented by the airplanes of the special purpose - marine patrol, ambulance, firefighting and others on the basis of AN-140, AN-32, AN-38 and AN-74. Taking into consideration increase of passenger transportations in Latin America, ANTONOV offers to local airlines to enlarge their fleet with the aircraft with passenger capacity from 27 to 80 seats intended for regional and short-haul routes. These airplanes meet the most modern norms of airworthiness and guarantee safety operation under different climatic and weather conditions. They are equipped with everything necessary to provide high level of comfort for passengers and crew. At the exhibition in Brazil ANTONOV represents a number of projects of the VIP aircraft as well.


ANTONOV ASTC is one of the leaders in development of the airplanes of different classes and purposes. The AN airplanes are widely used by military and civil organizations of 75 countries of the world. 263 airplanes of AN-2, AN-24, AN-26, AN-30 and AN-32 types were delivered to the number of states of Latin America. These airplanes proved their capability to work effectively under natural and climatic conditions of those countries.
