OREANDA-NEWS. The Conference "Pipeline transport -2007" in the framework of Annual YI International Pipeline Forum, devoted to the perspective development of Russia's pipeline transport, was hold on April 17-18 at Moscow's ExpoCenter, reported the press-centre of Rosneft. More than 400 people from more than 30 countries, namely executives and experts of oil and gas companies, service firms and enterprises, pipe and equipment producers, employees of government authorities and diplomatic representatives participated in this event and made addresses.

There were discussed issues of pipeline transport in the context of social and economic development of Russia and foreign countries, securing of reliability and safety of pipeline facilities, construction contracts in the sphere of pipeline transport. Issues of pipeline projects in East Siberia, their impact to economy of the region, Russia and the world in whole were in the high light of discussions. Besides, there were six plenary sessions with discussing of urgent issues on technology, equipment, service, human resources management etc

Summing up results of the Conference Simon M.Vainshtock, Transnef’s Chief Executive, pointed to positive results of Forum’s discussion. “The audience itself both concerning representative level and geography of business structures is the evidence of growing interests of community and government to pipeline branch issues”, he said. Similar exhibition, holding at the same time with the Conference, will close on April 19. Forum’s organizers are Transneft JSC, RPI International and “Euroexpo”.
