OREANDA-NEWS. The Management Company of GAZEKS holding company has initiated a certification procedure for compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with GOST R ISO 9001-2001 requirements. A certificate is to be received by the end of 2007. A voluntary ISO certificate will serve as an additional guarantee of the company's reliability and professional competence for federal and local authorities as well as a sign of quality of its services for customers.

In order to receive an ISO certificate the company will have to prove that all aspects of operational management covered by the certification zone meet the standard requirements. According to GAZEKS holding company CEO Andrei Pestov, a voluntary international certification should be viewed above all as an assurance of the company's transparency and competitive strength both in Russia and abroad.

GAZEKS has become one of the first gas companies in Russia and CIS countries to initiate certification procedures under international standard GOST R ISO 9001-2001 for the services of their businesses. Appropriate certificates have already been issued to a number of GAZEKS units including OJSC Urals Gas Networks (Sverdlovsk Region) and OJSC Kharkivgas (Kharkiv Region, Ukraine). This year, OJSC Chelyabinskgorgaz (Chelyabinsk) and CJSC Gazmontazh (Sverdlovsk Region) also intend to complete
