OREANDA-NEWS. On April 25, 2007 the Bezhitsk Steel Foundry (BSZ, Bryansk, a Transmashholding-integrated company) has set the batch production of the 168,10,001 journal-box designed for passenger coaches, reported the press-centre of Transmashholding.
The journal-box is designed for passenger coaches for load transmission from the bogie or the body frame to the axle journals as well as to restrict coplanar and cross motion of the wheel pair when on the move.
The Bryansk steel founders’ work was highly appreciated by the journal-boxes’ main consumer, namely the Tver Carriage Works.
