Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ) is the first among domestic companies to win the International Prize of the Sign of Honour “Star of the Commonwealth” in the nomination CIS Best Company, BelTA has been told in the information and ideology department of the company, reported the press-centre of BMZ. The honorary diploma and memorable prize were presented to BMZ General Director Nikolai Andrianov during an award ceremony which was held in Moscow within the frames of the international summit “CIS Best Companies”. The Sign of Honour “Star of Commonwealth” was instituted by the International Business Council to acknowledge significant socio-economic achievements of a certain company in the CIS. The award attests to the economic reliability of a company, its high social responsibility and immaculate reputation.  “Star of the Commonwealth” is another award in a big collection of prizes which the company has received lately in recognition of its excellent foreign economic activity. A reminder, a year ago Eaton Corporation, America’s leading industrial manufacturer, awarded a special prize “Excellent Supplier” to the Belarusian Steel Works. Eaton Corporation cooperates with 38,000 companies of 125 countries and only 11 of them have received the prize “Excellent Supplier”.

At the same time, only two partners come from Europe. In January this year the International Metallurgists Union named BMZ the best metallurgic manufacturer in the CIS.
