OREANDA-NEWS. Amtel-Vredestein N.V. (LSE: AMV), a leading European tyre producer and Russia’s largest manufacturer of passenger car tyres has been awarded as Superbrand 2007 for its Amtel tyre brand for the second consecutive time, reported the press-centre of Amtel-Vredestein N.V. According to the award rules, the winning brand is chosen based on a series of polls and survey results. The decision was made by an independent expert council consisting of leading specialists in business analysis, marketing and advertising headed by Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists. The winner must meet a number of criteria including high product quality, brand awareness and recognition, and the company's reputation. In 2007 consumers took part in the voting, choosing their superbrands on the www.super-brands.ru site in addition to the Expert Council.


Other Superbrand 2007 winners are BMW, Samsung, VTB 24 and MasterCard. "The Superbrand award demonstrates the considerable success of the Amtel-Vredestein marketing strategy and high consumer loyalty to our products," says Pavel Smirnov, Amtel-Vredestein's Marketing Director.
