OREANDA-NEWS. Asian and Pacific Business Forum (APBF) 2007 will be held on 18 and 19 May 2007, in the frame of the 63d session of ESCAP will be held in Almaty. The Sixty-Third session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is scheduled to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from 15 to 23 May 2007.The main theme for discussion – assistance in economic development to inland countries, reported the press-centre of “Kazinvest”.


During the session it is planned to discuss wide range of issues, such as globalization, social-economic situation in the region, assistance to necessitous public. In the frame of up coming session there will be held business-forum for representatives of business circles of Asia, Pacific and Kazakhstan with participation of officials and representatives of international organizations. In the context of cooperation between the state and private business there will discussed such issues as, region development strategy, regional transport infrastructure development and regional trade initiates. 


ESCAP business-forum is one of the instruments for development of trade-economic cooperation between countries-UN members. Moreover, it will give new impulse for economic collaboration between countries by creation and development business contacts and discussing of perspectives of joint projects realization in oil/gas industry, tourism, IT-technologies, health and other. Among participants of this forum there will be entrepreneurs of Asian-Pacific region. Present time “Kazinvest” forms Kazakh business-delegation for participation in forum.
