OREANDA-NEWS. Keel laying ceremony of the sixth container vessel, to be built for FESCO in China, took place on May, 7th on shipyard in Nanjing (China). The new vessel will be delivered to FESCO Transport Group on January; 2008.

This is the sixth ship in the series, which is organized for FESCO shipyard in Nanjing. First four containerships already working in the FESCO fleet.

The newborn vessel of 13760 tons deadweight can load aboard 1080 TEU. 220 reefer containers can be loaded in order to carry refrigerated cargo.

The high-class automated control system allows carrying out unattending machinery maintenance. The ship has two electro-hydraulic cranes, carrying 40 tons each. Powerful main and pilot engines are fueled with heavy oil. Service speed laden is expected to be about 19 knots.
