OREANDA-NEWS. The Construction Ministry of Chelyabinsk region has drafted the master plan of a new residential area at Muslumovo station. The area will consist of 300 houses - wooden or ferroconcrete at free choice.

The area will also have a school, kindergarten, club, mosque, medical center and administrative building. All the houses will have gas, water and sewerage system.

The area has undergone two independent radiation safety examinations. Both examinations have shown that gamma radiation background in the area ranges within 0,09-0,13 mR/h, which is lower than the norm (0,17-0,2 mR/h).

Presently, the area is being examined for natural radon background with no deviations detected so far.

As of now, 108 residents of Muslumovo, a village that suffered from a nuclear project in the 1950s and is subject to resettlement, have expressed wish to build houses at Muslumovo station, 329 families want to move to other settlements. 130 housing purchase-sale contracts have been made so far with 102 of them fully paid.
