OREANDA-NEWS. IlimSeverLes opened a new navigation season on the Vychegda river on its booming ground, reported the press-centre of Ilim Pulp. Over the first several days 5 barges and one raft were brought to Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill’s pier, delivering over 8 thousand cu metres of wood. As of 8 May, 2007, the rafts formed during the winter delivered 30 thousand cu metres of pulpwood to the collecting depot of Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill. Another 28 thousand cu metres were brought by barges.


During the whole navigation season on the Vychegda, IlimSeverLes plans to receive 97 thousand cu metres of wood in rafts from its logging companies. Another 58 thousand cu metres are to be delivered by barges. The company intends to receive approximately 200 thousand cu metres of wood from outside suppliers, the wood is to be delivered by barges along the Northern Dvina.
