When speaking at a conference on preparing feedstock sources for the oil pipeline Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) chaired by minister for natural resources Yuri Trutnev, Rosneft vice president Alexei Kuznetsov  said that Rosneft had made a commitment to use the ESPO to 30% in 2009 and 50% in 2014.


Deputy CEO of Surgutneftegaz Nikolai Medvedev reported for his part that the total amount of capital investments into the development of the Talakanskoye field in 2007-2009 will be 21 bln roubles. Talakan will be producing 3 mln tonnes of crude oil by the end of 2009. Surgutneftegaz's total capital investments in Eastern Siberia will amount to 72.3 bln roubles by 2011, including the costs of geological exploration worth 21.8 bln roubles. Surgutneftegaz's Talakan production will increase up to 6 mln tonnes by 2015, with Alinskoye production to remain at the level of 300 thou. tonnes.


Russian-British TNK-BP plans to produce 15 mln tonnes of crude oil in Eastern Siberia a year by 2012-2015, German Hun, the company's executive director, said at the conference. According to him, TNK-BP currently holds 19 licences for Eastern Siberia, with total recoverable reserves of 450 mln tonnes of crude oil: one licence for the Irkutsk Region, with reserves of some 200 mln tonnes of crude oil; 10 licences for the Krasnoyarsk territory, with reserves of 215 mln tonnes of oil; 8 licences for the Novosibirsk region, with reserves of 35 mln tonnes of oil. G. Hun indicated that the company planned to spend $500 mln on seismic surveys and drilling in 2007-2012. This is expected to bring in an additional 90 mln tonnes worth of reserves.
