OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2007. In order to fulfill the presidential decree to reform the nuclear power industry and to reorganize over 50 federal state unitary enterprises into OJSC, Rostekhnadzor has to issue over 500 licenses by the end of this year, reported the press-centre of Rostekhnadzor.
The implementation of the Federal Target Program “Development of the Nuclear Power Complex of Russia in 2007–2010 and -2015” and its section “Development and Reconstruction of Productive Capacities of Nuclear Fuel Cycle” is one of Rostekhnadzor’s priorities.
As of today, all the enterprises specified by the program have been provided with Rostekhnadzor licenses. According to the program, they should undergo ecological examination and provided with licenses for building and operating new or reconstructed productive capacities.
Simultaneously with implementing the Federal Target Program “Development of the Nuclear Power Complex of Russia in 2007–2010 and –2015,” Rostekhnadzor is carrying out the Federal Target Program “Nuclear and Radiation Safety in 2008 and –2015.”
