OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2007. Kalinin NPP pays great attention to the professional orientation of the youth. The key goal of such meetings is to help university entrants to choose where and what to study.

We mean not only universities but also special professional schools. The Personnel Department of KNPP says that in the coming years the plant will need electricians, gas welders and fitters. During the meeting the deputy director of the plant Gennady Shishkov told the children how they train specialists for their plant and what professions they need the most now that they are going to build the 4th unit.

Representatives of different departments told about the peculiarities of the professions related to nuclear power engineering, while teachers of Professional School N1 – about the training of relevant specialists. The director of the school Viktor Bezverkhov said: “Today, high-tech productions are running short of workers. The personnel of KNPP are growing old. The plant needs fitters, welders, electricians, NDT inspectors. This year we have admitted 170 people. We are sure that they will become good specialists.”

Many of the youths have already chosen profession. Perhaps, the meeting will help the rest.
