Representatives of Council for Trans-Siberian Shipments (CCTSS) together with the leaders of the Japanese association “Ronis” which unites 175 Moscow trade delegates of the Japanese industrial companies, held the seminar for examination the contemporary organization of the Trans-Siberian transportation, according to the plan of actions for the realization of the decrees of 15-th meeting of Coordination Council on Trans-Siberian Shipments for the consolidation of the business connections with Japan consignors of goods and for popularization of the Trans-Siberian service.

Heads of the leading Russian transport companies told about specificity of the railway transportation for the Trans-Siberian Railway. When terms of the freight delivery decrease by 2-2.5 times, tariff is not so important, noted Gennady Bessonov, General Secretary of Coordination Council for Trans-Siberian Shipments. The Council holds regular contacts with Japanese producers.

The heads of the leading Japanese companies, such as Nissin, Panasonic, Jetro, Hitachi, Ronis, Toyota Tsusho, Komatsu, K-Line, Itochu Corporation, Toyo Trans, took part in the seminar. . Gennady Bessonov noted that foreign consignors of goods can be sure that they can get service which satisfies the international requirements in Russia and that Russian railways can guarantee maintenance of the term of the transportation and safety of goods. G. Bessonov reminded that last week in Seoul OJSC and LG Electronics concluded a treaty on transportation of utilities for assemblage of the consumer electronics. “TransContainer” will provide a transparent service at cargo loaded in 40-foot containers delivery from the port of Pusan (Korea), from Nangin, Dalan, Ksingang and Shanghai (China) to station Moscow-Rizhskaya. Forecasted flow of traffic will amount to 9.6 mln TEU a year.
